Why walk with a walking stick
Solid wood walking sticks are a great way to attain extra mobility by offering you a firm-footed “third leg” that’s ideal for virtually any terrain.
Walking with a walking stick can relieve back pain, and relief from sore knees. And they can be something to lean upon when tired.
A walking stick can be used to fend off wild animals, you can also use the stick to push away a dog or if you get desperate, you may have to hit the dog with the stick, I hope you don't have to.
A walking stick can build upper body strength.
A walking stick can help with direction by marking a arrow on the ground, you also can use your marking to find your way back if you get lost.
A walking stick can help wade you across a creek by using the walking stick to steady yourself. That's good instead falling and doing damage to your body.
A walking stick can remove nasty spider webs by waving your stick in front of you  this will prevent those sticky webs (and maybe a spider or two) from ending up in your face (ewe!).
