Yes my finish I use is raw linseed oil as it has a very slow drying time. Some people say it never dries, but the problem is most people don't realize it needs heat or sunlight to harden since saying it dries is almost a false statement instead we ought to say it polymerizes, unlike boiled linseed oil if it has dryers it crystallizes.
My rule I follow for oiling the wood is to put on as many coats as it will soak in, then I start to build the coats of oil with thin coats to build-up the finish on the wood. After that I oil it as whenever it needs oil, or at least a couple of times a year.
I also hope to make some sun thickened linseed this summer to use in the winter time.. I will see how it goes.
